Onyeka Onwenu, a prominent Nigerian singer, actress, media personality, and politician has died.
She passed away at Reddington Hospital in Lagos after collapsing at the 80th birthday celebration of Dr. Stella Chinyelu Okoli, Managing Director of Emzor Pharmaceuticals.
An eyewitness at the event confirmed the tragic news, stating, “It is very sad. Onyeka Onwenu just performed at the birthday of Mrs. Stella Okoli today, and after performing, she slumped. She was taken to Reddington Hospital and she couldn’t make it.”
